6 Culver Valencia glasses featuring 22-karat gold gilded Moroccan-style trellis and raised emerald green diamonds. This pattern has become one of the most iconic patterns in history of American glassware so much so that you can see Valencia glasses in such iconic productions as'Scarface' and'Mad Men' (see pics).

Culver industries were founded in Brooklyn, New York, in 1939 and all Culver glassware produced since then through late 60's was signed in script. The mark changed to block lettering in app 1969 and was used through the 70's. Glass produced after the 70's is typically unmarked because company started using paper stickers.

These glasses bear scripted mark, hence date pre-1969. Excellent vintage condition, no chips, cracks, fleabites. Gilding is even, no discolorations, darker areas on pics are highlights or shadows. Other than the signature older Culver pieces are a little different from the older ones. Both old and new Culver glass is stunning and the difference could only be seen when you compare them side by side, but it's definitely there - the quality of glass is a little better, the pattern application is more sophisticated.

This is my strong opnion and this is why I price older Culver pieces higher. I value and sell both, often at the same time, you're welcome to look through my listings, asks questions and choose for yourself.
