6 SAPPHIRE BLUE COLONIAL WILLIAMBURG DOUBLE OLD FASHIONED TAVERN GLASSES BY ROYAL LEERDAM. Inspired by glass fragments uncovered during archaeological excavations at Colonial Williamsburg, these expertly crafted glasses are blown molded and hand formed. The glass is a beautiful sapphire blue color. Each double old fashioned glass stands about 4" tall and measures 3 1/2" wide at the top.
All of the glasses have the oval Williamsburg Restoration paper label attached and 4 glasses also have the original Royal Leerdam label intact. The style of the Royal Leerdam paper label is circa 1963, so I believe these glasses were made around that time period. Condition of these Royal Leerdam double old fashioned glasses is EXCELLENT with no chips, cracks, or fleabites. The Royal Leerdam paper labels show some wear but are generally legible.
Overall, the set looks fantastic and displays beautifully. They would look great with a matching color decanter. Please take a close look at the many photos I've provided and judge condition for yourself. These double old fashions are hard to find and the color seems to be very rare.
